Forming part of the immense Portes du Soleil, a consortium of 14 ski villages ranging from the internationally recognized (Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets) to unspoilt hamlets, Châtel offers skiers and boarders access to 650 km of piste and 29 ski lifts. Whatever your ability there are slopes for all and with the additional novelty of being able to ski in two different countries! For the well-insured there is also a boarder cross, half-pipe and 3 kickers! Super Châtel is also the gateway to Switzerland and the intrepid traveler can ski from here to both the Morgins and Torgon. Just 100 meters from the apartment is the Linga ski area which is a 3 km well groomed North facing slope offering intermediate and advanced skiers a real challenge! This is also where night skiing happens once a week. A short bus ride from the apartment is Pré la Joux which also has a good variety of beginner slopes. In addition to having some fine mountain restaurants and an excellent variety of slopes this is also the point from where you can access the ski areas of Avoriaz, Morzine and eventually Les Gets.
