International airports serving Châtel include Geneva (1–1.5 hrs), Grenboble, Lyon and Turin (all approximately 3 hours). Alternatively, the drive is a manageable 8 hours from Calais.

The majority who fly to Geneva should rent a car on the French side of the airport (it’s cheaper!) and then head straight for Geneva centre. Follow the road around the point of the lake (and the City’s famous fountain) and look out for signs to Thonon-Les-Bains and the N5. Stick to this road; re-cross the border back into France and then look out for signs to “Châtel” and “Les Portes du Soleil”. Follow these signs and the Dranse River until you arrive in Châtel. Hang a right immediately after the town’s church and go straight down this road for 1 km. You will find La Residence Mont de Grange on your left. When you get to the camp site you have gone too far!
